It’s SUSHI TIME!

No introspection today; instead of writing my journal after my morning self care routine I decided to wait until the afternoon after getting back from the mall.

After years of being cooped up inside the house wandering around the mall for a few hours is remarkably enjoyable; and being able to show up simply as myself is truly euphoric. It is amazing to me that I could feel no level of self consciousness to the point that at time I completely forgot that there is anything about me that might have caused someone to do a double take.

I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to, but I am okay with that; he most important thing on my list was getting a cheap phone so that all the services in Thailand that are connected to a phone number will be available to whoever is there and not have folks needing to get hold of me to arrange the water deliveries or me relaying texts from the land lord and so on when I am travelling about or in AU.

I was able to pick a a new phone called the “realme Note 60”; it is nothing spectacular, although probably more powerful than my laptop, but will certainly do the trick and doesn’t break the bank at all.

Lunch today was sushi, but not just any sushi it was sushi train.

For those unfamiliar that is when the sushi goes past on a conveyor belt and you just grab what you want and they count up the plates at the end. In this case they also had a second track above it with a special robot train to deliver things that you order as they are made. Like so much else here in Thailand the pricing is exceptionital and doesn’t feel difficult or costly to spoil oneself a bit.

The little tap in this picture is for the hot water to go with the complimentary tea, the tea is just our of sight on the right next to the dishes for the soy sauce.

Sushi, all the Sushi, and the second track for the robot above it.

My cooked to order selection, double salmon topped with camembert cheese

Now some rest, a fingers crossing that I have finally sorted out my problem with the Shopee website and perhaps a supermarket trip later, unless I decide to leave that till tomorrow.
