A change is as good as a holiday, how about a change while on holiday?

So there has be a lot going on.

For the last few months we have been spread between our rental place in Thailand and staying with Robert’s grandmother in regional Victoria. It has been lovely but also a touch crowded and being as remote as it was added some challenges for our holiday travels.

Over the last few months we have been working out the process to stay at Rose’s childhood home, and as of this week we have moved out there as caretakers. For Rose it is a return to her childhood and something of a healing journey to help restore the property. For me it is something of a return to my teens as the main city, only 15 minutes away, is where I grew up for my teenage years; and wow has it changed!

Echuca has grown, it is definitely not the same small town I remember, which is rather handy from our current perspective in having a place close by with a range of shopping options; including one of the few places to readily buy Doctor Pepper, the drink of choice of my lovely Texan hubby Ashley.

The house and land need some love and we are looking forward to slowly cleaning, repairing and healing this place.

Still a few other things that we are working on, and as is my nature I am reluctant to speak about them until they are done and settled.

Even in the midst of moving and settling in and all the other things that have to be done it has still been a joy to be able to take a moment and just enjoy being.

Last night’s sunset, although the photo does it no justice at all.
