We have spread out a bit today, some of us staying at what I call “base”, because for me at least it isn’t home; home is where I am traveling to.
A couple of us went out to the farm to do a bit more out there to settle up Rose’s father’s estate.
Robert, Ashley and I went to the lake to visit with my dad and to let Robert enjoy some time in the water.
Had my first hydroslide (knee board) for the season and hoping that I will work my way back up to slalom (single ski).
The big thing from today was Robert’s first hydroslide. I mean he just sat there and I held the rope and all but it was a big thing for him; and he loved every minute of it. Once he realised that the goal is to stay on top of the water and not in it he was all for it.
It has touched an unexpected part of my heart to see him start to take a joy in it, and for it to be here at Eppalock is something I had not expected would be able to happen.
Soon traditional Australian snags (sausages) and we will head back to base.
